SPRING LIP COMBO

It’s always fun to play with lip colors and to be honest, majority of the time I’m applying colors on myself or my clients, I’m mixing colors. Mixing colors allows you to customize and find a color that perfectly fits  Y O U. Sure, you can just go with one color, I do that too! I’m just saying, most of the time it takes two colors to make me happy. Here we have one of my favorite lip combos. It can MOST DEFINITELY be used any time of the year.. (I 100% favor light colors throughout the year) but, I’m labeling it a Spring lip combo because Spring is right around the corner!

This combo consists of a base of MAC Liptensity in Medium Rare and Marc Jacobs Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick in Sugar Sugar on top. You can always start with a lip liner as well! Whatever you prefer in terms of applying your lip colors best! The Marc Jacobs topper can be used on top of just about anything. It’s a beautiful champagne color and beautiful on its own too for a light shimmer!

FLAWLESS COMPLEXION

My secret to a flawless complexion? This combo right here.. from IT Cosmetics. Once I discovered these, I’ve never gone back. I like to have flawless looking skin, but I don’t want to wear a lot of makeup or have it look like I have a ton of makeup on.

That’s where this CC Cream comes in. It’s not technically a foundation and it’s SO good for your S K I N. 

With things like:

  • SPF 50+ UVA/UVB
  • color correcting/full coverage cream
  • anti aging + hydrating serum

You can’t go wrong here. It feels good on your skin and looks good. You can build it up too. My suggestion is to always start with a small amount because it’s thick and concentrated. You can always add more! Feel free to use your hands, a brush or a beauty blender. It’s totally up to how you prefer to apply it and what gets YOU the best results!

Pair it with their “CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder” and it’s the best duo ever! The powder sets the CC Cream as well as just giving it a true airbrushed look. It provides more sun protection but doesn’t make you look overdone!

Again, these are just my personal favorites, but, I get compliments on my skin because of this combo! Also, I use this CC cream almost every day on set when I’m working and almost E V E R Y O N E  asks what I used on their face because it feels so great and looks so good. BEST MASCARA EVER

As far as I know, everyone has their own opinion when it comes to mascara and TRUST ME, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that! Mascara is the most important thing to me. And, once you find the one that meets all your needs and never lets you down, don’t let it go! I’ve struggled with mascara for years now and it’s silly because I’m a makeup artist! But, it’s such a personal thing that you need to put the work in to find the perfect one. Unless, of course, you’re not a picky person and you just want mascara to simply coat your lashes, then ignore my rambling!

When I first heard about Thrive Causemetics, I loved everything about the company. My friend, Paige, another makeup artist, told me about it because she collaborated with them and loved the company. It’s called “Beauty with a Purpose” because with every product purchased, they donate to help a woman thrive. Plus, all their makeup is 100% vegan and clean, so it’s good for you on top of it all.

Now, about the mascara… I was graciously sent some makeup from the company to use on a photoshoot I had coming up and one of the products was their “Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara”. I decided I had to keep it for myself because I was so intrigued! Needless to say, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It coats my lashes, makes them thicker, longer and they don’t clump. I’ve never gotten so many compliments, daily, on how good my lashes look! But! the best part is how the mascara comes off. You rub your lashes with some warm water and lightly pull of the mascara. It comes off in rubbery little tubes and it’s just the best! Never runs, never smudges. I’ve never been happier with a product and I encourage you all to try it out! Worth every penny!
